When you’re purchasing medical supplies, you want to know you are getting the highest quality for the safety of both your medical staff and your patients.
But when every vendor claims to be the best, how can you know which products actually stand out?
At CPT, we know just saying we’re committed to quality isn’t enough. So here’s how we actually live out our quality assurance principles and help provide you with confidence.
Extensive expertise
We aren’t just a manufacturer. We have clinical staff that regularly assist with technical product support and are heavily involved in surgical tray review and analysis. Our clinical managers have more than 50 years of surgical management experience.
We’ve been providing custom procedure trays for more than 15 years now, so we’re well-versed in the industry and our customer’s needs. We have a combined technical, operational and clinical experience of more than 75 years, so we understand quality better than most.
Manual tray assembly
We have strict quality assurance processes in place during assembly.
We assemble all our kits on site, by hand, to ensure quality is high. Although this process is more manual than others, it minimizes the risk of a problem with a kit and makes it easy to track down the issue immediately.
We also perform our operations in a conditioned work area designed specifically for the production of custom trays.
We take extreme care to ensure the assembly areas are clean, and employees have strict guidelines they must follow during assembly, such as wearing hair nets and sterile gloves.
We follow these stringent processes even though we send the packs, kits and trays to a third-party sterilization site because we are committed to the highest possible quality for our customers.
Quality brands only
One way we ensure the highest possible quality for our customers is to never compromise on products.
We have no proprietary, financial or business incentives with component manufacturers, and we never include private-label products in our kits and trays. Only well-respected, OEM components are used to ensure quality.
We also never substitute agreed-upon brands without written permission from our customers.
By using reputable brands, we can also easily trace any issues back to the vendor through the batch number to move quickly if quality is ever compromised.
Third-party sterilization
We use a third-party company to sterilize all our custom surgical trays.
By using a third party, we’re able to partner with a team that already has the facilities and processes in place to meet regulations.
We thoroughly evaluate any vendors before partnering with them, and our sterilization partner is no exception. Because we’re staking our name and reputation on our products, we ensure we’re joined with vendors that will give us the very best.
All our custom procedure trays are airtight and, when stored correctly, will remain sterile for the lifespan of the tray. All expiration dates are clearly labeled on each package so you don’t run the risk of physical breakdown of any of the components.
Regulation compliance
Because we’re dedicated to excellence in both science and solutions, we comply with all U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
All our sterilization activities are conformed to the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AMI) and are performed in an ISO 9002 certified facility.
We’re committed to providing our clients with high-quality custom procedure trays, and we make every effort to incorporate quality assurance into every aspect of our process, from sourcing to assembly and sterilization.
